Edwin Shen

Edwin Shen is a PhD-trained engineer with expertise in advanced bioreactor control. They have worked as a Senior Scientist and subsequently a Principal Scientist at Pfizer, where they led the development of new hardware automation platforms for bioreactor processes. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Scientist at Phanes Therapeutics, overseeing cell line development and authoring IND-enabling study reports. Edwin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biological Engineering and Small Scale Technologies from the University of California, Merced, where they designed innovative bioprinter systems and secured funding for research initiatives.
