Hugo Berube

Hugo Berube is a Bioinformatics Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Pfizer, where they have worked for over 14 years, focusing on pipeline innovations to accelerate scientific research. Previously, Hugo served as a Senior Bioinformatics Developer and Tech Lead at the National Research Council, where they were instrumental in developing the BRISKA application for the Bio-renewable Oil for Food and Fuel Project. Hugo's early career included roles at EBI as a Bioinformatics Developer and at Laval University as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant, contributing to gene discovery and various bioinformatics applications. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Université de Sherbrooke and a Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from Université Laval.
