Hui Yao

Hui Yao is an experienced AI/ML scientist and computational biologist with over 15 years of expertise in bioinformatics and data science, specializing in advanced quantitative techniques for high-throughput multi-modal data. They served as a research associate at Children’s Hospital Boston and as a principal bioinformatician and team leader at MD Anderson Cancer Center for 13 years. As a co-founder and Senior Vice President for Informatics at Fresh Wind Biotechnologies, Hui established and led an informatics team while developing advanced deep-learning AI models. Currently, Hui is a Senior Principal Scientist at Pfizer, leading a team to leverage AI and machine learning for mRNA vaccine development. Hui holds a PhD in Computational Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and a Master’s in Computer Sciences from the National University of Singapore.
