James Shannon

James Shannon is an accomplished software engineering professional with a diverse background in automation and development. Currently serving as a Senior Manager and Automation DevOps Lead at Pfizer since January 2023, James previously held roles as a Higher Executive Officer - Software Engineer at The Pensions Authority and as a Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead at IBM, where contributions were made to the Watson Health Cognitive Solutions Team. Earlier experience includes positions at 3DCadSoft as a Software Development Engineer and at Microsoft as an International Project Engineer, focusing on tools development and game development. James holds a Master’s Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science with a specialization in Interactive Entertainment Technology from Trinity College Dublin, alongside a BSc (Honours) in Computer Science from the Institute of Technology, Carlow.
