James Tornos

James Tornos is an accomplished leader in global sourcing and procurement, currently serving as Vice President of Pfizer Global Supply Direct Materials Procurement since April 2006. With extensive experience at Pfizer, James oversees a team of over 150 professionals in managing procurement operations across 30+ international manufacturing sites and has held various senior roles including Vice President of Sourcing & Enterprise Services for Research, Development and Medical Procurement, and Senior Director. Prior to Pfizer, James was the Global Lead Outsourcing Manager at AstraZeneca, where responsibilities included defining procurement strategies for Process R&D Outsourcing and leading teams in the development of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Academically, James holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham and a BSc in Chemistry from Newcastle University.
