John Bedford

John Bedford is an experienced professional in the field of Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) with a career spanning over a decade. Currently, John serves as the CQV Area Lead at Pfizer, beginning in August 2023. Prior to this role, John held the position of CQV Lead at MSD from September 2020 to August 2023, where leadership was demonstrated over a team of more than 20 engineers on a €65M capital project encompassing various CQV responsibilities. John's previous experience includes serving as Downstream CQV Lead at Shire and as a CQV Engineer at Pfizer, where significant contributions were made to the qualification of critical equipment in biopharmaceutical processes. Early career roles included positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where John gained comprehensive project management experience, and as a Systems Owner/Project Engineer on a considerable hydrogenation plant project. John holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an Ord. B.A. in Mathematics from Trinity College Dublin, completed in 2011.
