John Garretson

John Garretson, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the field of medical communications and neuroscience with extensive experience in both industry and academia. At Pfizer, John served as Director of Global Medical Communications and Content for Oncology and has held several key positions in medical strategy and content development in Atlanta, Georgia. John also worked with International Meetings & Science as Associate Medical Director and held multiple scientific roles. Academic experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, focusing on the peripheral nervous system's impact on obesity and related diseases, as well as a Graduate Student Researcher role at Georgia State University, where research encompassed pharmaceuticals and their effects on metabolic disorders. John earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Georgia State University, building on a foundational education in psychology and neuroscience.
