Laura Byrnes

Laura Byrnes is a Principal Scientist at Pfizer with over 10 years of experience in hit identification and validation for various disease targets using biophysical, biochemical, and structural biology methods. They earned a PhD in Biophysics from Cornell University, where they worked on the protein atlastin-1, contributing to the understanding of its role in membrane fusion. Prior to their current role, Laura held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Pfizer focusing on the structural characterization of CFTR. They also gained teaching and research experience during their undergraduate studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
