Lea Bayer

Lea Bayer, PhD, is currently a Medical Affairs Scientist at Pfizer, specializing in RSV vaccines. They previously worked as a Research Scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology from 2014 to 2020, where they set up laboratory facilities and supervised students while contributing to scientific publications. Lea's early research experiences include internships at the Centro de Investigación I-Mar and Nanyang Technological University, as well as a Master’s thesis at OxProtect GmbH. They earned their Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Molecular Life Science from Universität zu Lübeck and completed their doctoral studies in vaccine development at The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg.
