Mark Smith possesses extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Director - Operation Support Lead at Pfizer since February 2005, where responsibilities include leading a team focused on value-added Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for the BioTech operating unit. Prior to this role, Mark held the position of Senior Manager at Abbott Laboratories from 1999 to 2001, as well as a Senior Scientist role. Academically, Mark obtained a Ph.D. in Spectroscopy and Chemometrics from The School of Pharmacy, University of London, in 2004, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic and Analytical Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, earned in 1999.
