Matt Pugmire

Matt Pugmire is currently the VP & Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer Inc, a position held since 2022. They previously served as Assistant General Counsel, Senior Patent Counsel, and Patent Counsel at Pfizer from 2003 to 2007. Before their tenure at Pfizer, Matt was an Associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP from 2002 to 2003 and completed post-doctoral work in structure-based drug design at Parker Hughes Cancer Center from 1998 to 1999. Matt holds a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law and a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Chemical Biology from Cornell University, along with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah.
