Michelle Rooks, Ph.D., is an Associate Research Fellow and the Neuroinflammation Discovery Group Head at Pfizer in the Inflammation & Immunology Research Unit. Previously, Michelle held various roles at Pfizer, including Senior Principal Scientist and Principal Scientist, focusing on epithelial biology and host-microbe interactions. Prior to joining Pfizer, Michelle completed a Doctorate and postdoctoral research at Harvard University, investigating the microbiome's role in inflammatory bowel disease, and worked at Massachusetts General Hospital and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory on brain tumor research and genomic sequencing. Michelle holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and a Master's degree in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University.
