Mike Schmitt

Mike Schmitt, MD, PhD, is a Senior Medical Director at Pfizer, leading global development for multiple early phase oncology programs. They have extensive experience in medical oncology, having previously served as a Senior Medical Director at Seagen and as Clinical Faculty at the University of Washington. Mike co-founded TwinStrand Biosciences, where they developed Duplex Sequencing technology, significantly enhancing the accuracy of next-generation sequencing. They earned their Doctor of Medicine from the University of Washington, where they also received their Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics from the University of Chicago.
