Ping Wei has extensive experience in oncology research and drug discovery, currently serving as a Director at Pfizer, Inc. since July 2006, focusing on Oncology Research Alliances & Portfolio Operations. Prior to this, Ping held positions as Associate Research Fellow and Sr. Principal Scientist at Pfizer, where leadership in translational research and drug discovery programs was demonstrated. Earlier career experience includes a role as Staff Scientist II at Phenomix Corporation, leading biology in drug discovery, and as a Research Scientist at Xceptor, also focusing on biology in drug discovery projects. Ping Wei holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and both an MS in Genetics and a BS in Cell Biology from Wuhan University.
