Stephen Claeys

Stephen Claeys is a senior director of global trade policy at Pfizer, where they develop and implement strategies related to pharmaceutical IP and market access. They formerly served as trade counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Ways & Means, advising on international trade issues, and held various roles at the U.S. Department of Commerce, including Deputy Assistant Secretary for Import Administration. Stephen's earlier career includes positions at Rogers & Wells, Wiley Rein LLP, and as president of Cadence Global Strategies. They also contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at American University and are currently a board member at Phoenix Bikes. Stephen earned their law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
