Susan Zhang

Susan (Xiaosong) Zhang, MD, PhD, is the Executive Director and Global Development Lead at Pfizer, where they currently lead the development of encorafenib and binimetinib. With over 20 years of experience as a US Board certified oncologist, they have a proven track record in clinical development and cancer research, particularly in immunotherapy and targeted therapies. Previously, they held positions at Genentech as Lead Medical Director, where they pioneered adaptive trial designs, and completed their Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Susan earned their MD from Peking Union Medical College and a PhD from The Johns Hopkins University, alongside a recent Certificate in Advanced Management from Babson College.
