Wentao Yang

Wentao Yang is a passionate computational biologist focusing on health care, currently serving as a Senior Computational Biologist at Pfizer since 2023. They completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where they led pharmacogenomics studies of drug toxicity in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Wentao previously held positions as a Bioinformatics Research Scientist and Senior Bioinformatics Analyst, specializing in cancer genomics and the analysis of genomic signatures associated with drug sensitivity. They earned a Master’s degree in Genetics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a PhD in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel.
