Yun Zhang, Ph.D., DABT, has extensive experience in drug safety and toxicology, currently serving as Drug Safety Team Lead at Pfizer since May 2017. In this role, Yun Zhang develops and implements nonclinical safety strategies for projects across various therapeutic areas, including oncology and immuno-oncology. Previously, Yun Zhang held positions as Director of Safety Assessment at GSK and Principal Scientist at Merck, managing non-clinical safety programs and contributing to drug development teams. Earlier career experience includes roles at SRI and CIIT, focusing on GLP-compliant toxicology studies and mechanistic research. Yun Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Toxicology from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and both an MS and BS in Biology from Beijing Normal University.
