Tim Norris has worked in the software engineering industry since 1996. Tim began their career as a Programmer/Network Administrator for Honeywell Video Systems (formerly Transaction Verification Systems, Inc.) where they developed and maintained Visual Basic 6 code for the Regview Retail Surveillance System. In 2004, they moved to Dedicated Micros, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer where they designed, coded, and maintained all aspects of Windows applications for viewing, configuring, and monitoring DVRs via TCP/IP connections. In 2009, they began contracting exclusively as a remote employee of OpenEye, Inc. in Spokane, WA and nearly single-handedly designed and coded version 1. In 2016, they joined TrustComm as a Software Engineer where they designed, implemented, and maintained the JavaFX user interface to the entire system, including the SQL database and analysis tools. Tim also participated in maintenance of cellular protocol stacks that ran on ARM processor SDRs. In 2020, they moved to Insight Global as a Software Developer. Most recently, in 2022, they began working for PFP Cybersecurity as a Software Engineer.

Tim Norris obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University between 1984 and 1989. Tim then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science from the same university, which they completed between 1994 and 2000.
