David Sawaya

David Sawaya is an experienced professional in decarbonization strategies with a substantial tenure at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since August 2014, progressing from roles such as Principal and Acting Director in Clean Transportation Strategy and Policy to the current position of Director of Decarbonization Strategies. Previous experience includes serving as a Project Management Analyst at The World Bank, where project evaluations for sanitation initiatives in North Africa were conducted, and as Manager of Climate Change and Sustainability Services at Ernst & Young, overseeing research operations for various clients. A policy analyst and operations manager at OECD, David was involved in strategic planning and research on bioeconomy and risk management. Early career experience includes working as a Development Engineer at Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. David holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Santa Clara University, has completed non-degree coursework in economics and accounting at George Mason University, and has earned a Master's degree in space studies from the International Space University.
