Derek Denniston is currently the Principal of Structured Energy Transactions at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where they lead commercial negotiations for energy procurement and microgrid services. Previously, they held various leadership roles including Vice President of Business Development at NaturEner USA and NaturEner Canada, and Director of Business Development at The AES Corporation. Derek has also authored works focused on conservation and transformative power, and is the founder of multiple initiatives, including Roaring Fork Ventures LLC and the Cinderella Foundation, aimed at supporting single working mothers in Colorado. They received an MBA in Competitive Strategy from Yale School of Management.
