Jared Rist is the Principal Renewable Natural Gas Program Manager at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, where they lead the procurement of pipeline injected Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) from various organic waste projects in California. Jared has successfully drafted and completed PG&E's first commercial RNG Purchase Agreement in 2023 and is driving large-scale RNG procurement efforts to meet compliance with California's Senate Bill 1440. They previously held roles including Senior Analyst for Electric Energy Transactions at PG&E and interned with organizations such as Holocene Clean Energy, the U.S. House of Representatives, and The Conservation Network. Jared holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Economy from Georgetown University and a Master's degree in Environmental Management from Duke University.
