Jhalak Vasavada

Jhalak Vasavada, P.E. is a results-oriented Engineering Manager with extensive experience in civil and structural engineering. Currently serving as a Civil Design Engineer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since January 2025, Jhalak has previously held the position of Manager of Enclosure Design at Form Energy, where leadership in designing a 400-part steel assembly led to significant cost reductions and accelerated project timelines. Jhalak's career includes roles as Senior Connectors Engineer and Connectors Engineer at Simpson Strong-Tie, focusing on innovative structural connector designs and product testing management. Earlier work at Sargent & Lundy involved preparation and review of design calculations for power plant structures, alongside structural analysis and design responsibilities. Jhalak began the engineering career at Trihydro Corporation, specializing in civil engineering tasks such as soil estimation and stormwater management design. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
