Mark Machala has extensive experience in various roles, primarily within the utility and veteran community sectors. Since October 2019, Mark has been a Life Member at Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 10978, focusing on assisting veterans and their families. In his long tenure at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, beginning in September 1989, Mark has progressed from an outage Instrumentation Technician to a Shift Control Technician, where responsibilities include maintenance and supervision of aging equipment at Diablo Canyon Power Plant. Mark's leadership experience is highlighted by his position as Staff Commodore at the San Luis Yacht Club since 1996, where organizational skills were honed through volunteer coordination and member services. Additionally, Mark served on the Board of Directors for CCASC from March 2012 to March 2015, supporting programs for the ASDs community. His career began in the US Navy, serving as an ET1(SS) in the Nuclear Submarine Service, where Mark advanced to Reactor Operator. Mark holds a degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, earned between 1989 and 1993.
