Mel Cosio

Mel Cosio is a Government Relations Representative at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since April 2024. Previously, Mel served as the Government Affairs Manager at Alliance for Safety and Justice from March 2022 to April 2024. Earlier experience includes roles in the California State Assembly where Mel held positions such as Legislative Director, Senior Legislative Assistant, and Legislative Assistant from January 2017 to March 2022. Additionally, Mel worked as a Statewide Field Manager for the Assembly Democratic Caucus in late 2020 and as a Field Coordinator in 2018. Prior to that, Mel acted as Field Director for Eloise Reyes for Assembly and as a Field Organizer for Abigail Medina for Assembly. Mel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Service from the University of California, Davis.
