Ray Gallian

Ray Gallian is the Founder and Chief Biochar Advocate at the Sonoma Biochar Initiative, where they promote the use of biochar for carbon sequestration and agricultural benefits. Since 1984, they have worked as a Senior Electric Estimator at PG&E. Ray also served on the Sonoma County Democratic Central Committee from 2003 to 2010 and was a Planning Commissioner for the City of Sonoma from 2001 to 2011. In 2012, the Sonoma Biochar Initiative successfully hosted the US Biochar Conference, attracting participants from around the globe, including a delegation from China.
