Rien Timmer

Rien Timmer serves as Directeur at Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen since February 2023 and is a member of the Raad van Toezicht at WIJdezorg since May 2022. With a long tenure at PGGM as an external third party regarding the Whistleblower Policy since September 2005, Rien has also been the Voorzitter of Christen Unie Leiden e.o. since November 2018. Volunteer activities span a wide range of roles and organizations, including initiating sports activities for small individuals. Previously, Rien was the Voorzitter of the College van Bestuur at Leo Kanner Onderwijsgroep until February 2023, and held leadership positions in various educational and welfare organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and advanced programs at prominent institutions including Harvard Kennedy School and TIAS School for Business and Society.
