Overview

PGM Foundation was set up to provide resources and technical support to sporting events in Botswana. The primary objective is to promote Botswana as a sports tourism destination through well organised events and creative sponsorship concepts.

Who?

PGM Foundation was inspired by the Gaborone City Marathon, the largest running for charity event in Botswana. PGM Board Members:

Why?

Botswana’s unique geography, wild life, remote areas and friendly people make it a great adventure and sports tourism destination. As a means to develop a sustainable platform for skills development, jobs, services and for promoting Botswana.

What?

PGM Foundation supports sporting events with a charity element that are validated by PGM’s accredited technical experts. All PGM partner events are assessed against international standards in terms of security, resources, services offered to participants.

• PGM trains volunteers in marketing, technical aspects of the race, finance and administration
• PGM provides ad hoc employment and potential career opportunities
• PGM seeks to help advance the careers of Botswana top athletes
