Daniel Schoeman

Daniel Schoeman is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and machine learning. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Phantom since October 2025, Daniel previously held the role of Senior Machine Learning Engineer at N26 from January 2022 to October 2025 and at The Shoprite Group of Companies from October 2020 to January 2022. Prior to this, Daniel was the Lead ML Research Scientist at TBWA\ South Africa from April 2015 to September 2020 and worked as an Electronic Engineer at TEQConsult Group, Inc. for a brief period in 2014. Daniel began a career at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as a Computer Engineer, where the tenure lasted from January 2010 to March 2014. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Pretoria, earned between 2010 and 2014, and furthered education at The University of Texas at Austin in 2019-2020.
