Sam Charlino has a diverse work experience in the field of design and creative roles. Starting in 2009, Sam worked as a Librarian II assistant at DePaul University, where they were responsible for maintaining the main stacks, archives, and microfilm collection. They also supervised student staff members and collaborated on interdepartmental projects.
In 2015, Sam began freelancing as a creative for Third Wing Business Strategies, LLC. They created logotypes and brand identities for clients and provided additional services such as data entry and market research.
In 2016, Sam joined Chicago Botanic Garden as a Graphic Design intern, where they participated in event poster design, promotional brochure design, and social media activities to promote the organization.
From 2018 to 2020, Sam worked at Forbes as a Designer and later as an Associate Art Director. Their responsibilities included design work and assisting with art direction.
In 2020, Sam joined BlockFi as a Senior Designer and later became an Associate Creative Director. Their role involved leading design projects and providing creative direction.
Most recently, starting in 2023, Sam has been employed at Phantom as a Senior Brand Designer.
Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated expertise in various design tasks, including creating original content, designing graphics for different platforms, and collaborating with clients and teams.
Sam Charlino attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 2014 to 2016, where they studied Design and Visual Communications. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science from DePaul University between the years of 2008 and 2013. In addition to their degrees, Sam also obtained a certification as a Certified Product Designer from Dribbble in February 2023.
