Adrian Waring

Dr. Adrian Waring is Director of Metabolism, Radiolabelled Sciences. Dr. Waring joined Pharmaron when the company acquired Quotient Bioresearch in February 2016. Dr. Waring joined Quotient Bioresearch in October 2015 with 30 years of industry experience in metabolism and environmental fate. In his current position he leads the metabolism team to provide solutions in the areas of drug disposition (including QWBA and MARG), drug-drug interactions, clinical drug development and pharmacokinetics to support clinical studies and regulatory submission. In addition, his team offers services in evaluating environmental fate for the chemical, agrochemical, human and animal healthcare industries. Prior to this, Dr. Waring was Director of Metabolism at Envigo leading groups in the UK, Spain and Germany. Prior to this he was with Covance for 26 years in Scientific, Operational Management and Process Excellence roles including 9 years as Associate Director – Scientific Operations for the Metabolism and Environmental Sciences businesses.

Dr. Waring received his BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Wales and his Ph.D., which focused on herbicide metabolism in plants as a mechanism for selectivity, from the University of London. He is a certified Lean Sigma Master Black Belt.
