Kexin Yang

VP, Chemical Technology at Pharmaron

Dr. Kexin Yang is Vice President of Chemical Technology. Dr. Yang joined Pharmaron in 2004 and is currently responsible for coordinating FFS projects, introducing innovative new chemical technology, and managing discovery analytical services including chiral analysis and separation. Prior to joining Pharmaron, Dr. Yang worked at Advanced ChemTech (later Advanced SynTech) where he carried out research work related to high throughput library synthesis, including scaffold design, process development, and automated library production.

Dr. Yang received his B.Sc. in chemistry in 1983 from Northwest Normal University and his M.Sc. in organic chemistry in 1986 from Lanzhou University in China, then he went to Canada in 1987 for further graduate study and obtained his Ph.D. in 1992 from the University of Calgary. Dr. Yang did postdoctoral research in the fields of liquid crystal materials, cardiovascular relaxing agents, synthetic porphorines, and laboratory automation at Queen’s University, Carnegie-Mellon University and North Carolina State University respectively.
