Dr. Manton R. Frierson is Vice President of ChemInformatics and Computational Chemistry. Dr. Frierson joined Pharmaron in 2004 and has been involved in the expansion and development of the informatics and cheminformatics infrastructure.

Dr. Frierson has over twenty-five years’ professional experience in molecular modeling and cheminformatics geared towards establishing SAR’s. He, along with his colleagues at Pharmaron Beijing, have developed the Chemical Exchange, Data Access and Recall system (CEDAR™) to facilitate handling of chemical information exchange internally and externally between Pharmaron and its customers. The system includes the Enotes™ electronic laboratory notebook and the BioAssay system.

Dr. Frierson received his B.S. in Chemistry from Clemson University, an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Indiana University and his Ph.D. from University of Georgia under the guidance of Prof. N. L. Allinger. He did postdoctoral work with Prof. Gilles Klopman of Case Western Reserve University where he worked on in silico methods for evaluating molecular toxicity, particularly mutagenicity.
