Matthew Lloyd

Matthew Lloyd is an accomplished chemist with significant expertise in process chemistry and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as an Associate Principal Scientist in Process Chemistry at Pharmaron since February 2019, Matthew is involved in the development of processes for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients and performing hazard evaluations. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Training Fellowship at The Institute of Cancer Research, focusing on structure-based drug design for cancer therapeutics. Early career experiences include a summer training program at Novartis, where Matthew contributed to research on palladium-catalysed C-H functionalisation, and an internship at the University of Birmingham, creating educational video content. Matthew holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of York and an MSci in Chemistry from the University of Birmingham.
