William Smith

William Smith is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry with extensive experience in process chemistry and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Process Chemistry at Pharmaron since April 2025, William previously held the same title at Asymchem Group, where responsibility included providing technical guidance to process chemistry teams and enhancing the company’s capabilities in various chemistry domains from June 2019 to April 2025. Prior to that, William worked as a consultant and program manager at MRIGlobal, overseeing a synthesis group and managing commercial projects. Additional experience includes the role of Director of Process Chemistry and Business Development at PharmaBlock Sciences (Nanjing), Inc., where focus was on client expansion and contract processes. William Smith holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan and a BA in Chemistry from Rutgers University - Newark.
