Peter Milligan

Peter Milligan has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Peter currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Pharmetheus, where they provide pharmacometric services to support drug development. Before this role, they worked as an Independent Consultant at Claire Davies Pharma Consulting Limited.

Prior to that, Milligan spent a significant portion of their career at Pfizer, where they held the position of Head of Pharmacometrics for over 23 years. In this role, they implemented pharmacometrics and was responsible for establishing and growing internal and external capabilities for analysis and data generation. Peter contributed to the development of several drugs, including Vfend, Viagra, Relpax, Tikosyn, Prodif, and Enablex.

Milligan also worked as a Staff Researcher at Syntex, where they represented the Department of Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics. Peter contributed to the design, analysis, and reporting of pharmacokinetic studies and recommended the application of novel approaches to data acquisition.

Earlier in their career, Milligan served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics at the University of Glasgow and worked as a Basic Grade Pharmacist and Pre-Registration Pharmacist at the Pharmacy Department of the Greater Glasgow Health Board.

Throughout their career, Milligan has gained expertise in pharmacometrics, drug development, analysis, and research, making him a valuable asset in the pharmaceutical industry.

Peter Milligan has an extensive education history. Peter obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Medicine and Therapeutics from Glasgow University in Glasgow, attending from 1987 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in Clinical Pharmacy at Strathclyde University in Glasgow, attending from 1985 to 1987. Their undergraduate studies were focused on Pharmacy, and they earned a Bachelor's degree from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, attending from 1980 to 1984. Additionally, Peter Milligan obtained the certification of MRPharms from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society in November 1985.
