Mark Moore has a diverse work experience in the medical and research fields. Mark is currently serving as the Sr. Regional Director of Medical Affairs at Pharming Group N.V. Prior to this, they held various roles at Gilead Sciences, including Director of Global Medical Affairs and Data Generation Lead, and Global Medical Director and Data Generation Lead in Rheumatology. Mark also worked as a Medical Director in Inflammation at EMEAC. Before joining Gilead Sciences, Mark worked at Sanofi Genzyme as a Medical Advisor and Medical Science Liaison in Rare Diseases. Mark also has experience working as a Senior House Officer at NHS Forth Valley and as a Foundation Doctor at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Mark has a strong research background, including a post-doctoral research position at Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre and a PhD case studentship at GSK. Mark began their career as a Laboratory Researcher at AstraZeneca and also worked part-time as a Fitness Instructor at British Military Fitness.
Mark Moore holds a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Medicine from the University of Essex, which they obtained between 2000 and 2004. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Immunity & Inflammation at the University of Glasgow from 2005 to 2008. Finally, they completed their medical education, earning an MBChB degree from the University of Glasgow between 2008 and 2014.
