John Janikowski has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. John started their career in 2005 as a Senior Computer Technician at Geek Squad. In 2006, they moved on to Circuit City, where they worked as a Sales Manager until 2008. John then joined Ricoh Americas Corporation as a CSO Fleet Manager, where they worked until 2009. Following that, they worked at Ricoh Global Services as a Sales Support Analyst, responsible for managing day-to-day operations of a global account. In 2011, John began working at Pharos Systems International as a Business Analyst, later transitioning to the role of Professional Services Engineer. Finally, they became a Solutions Architect at the same company in July 2013.

John Janikowski attended Western Governors University from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology with a Security Emphasis. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications throughout their education. In 2012, they obtained the CompTIA A+ certification, followed by the CompTIA Network+ certification in 2015. In 2016, they achieved the CompTIA Security+ ce certification and the Secure Infrastructure Specialist certification, both from CompTIA. Further certifications include LPIC-1 from the Linux Professional Institute and Linux+ from CompTIA in 2018. In 2019, they obtained the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification, followed by the Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) certifications, all from Cisco. Lastly, in 2017, they earned the Project+ certification from CompTIA.
