Laurie Nicol has worked for a variety of companies since 2010. Laurie began their career as an Acoustic Consultant for Renzo Tonin & Associates in 2010. Laurie then moved on to Arup as an Acoustic Engineer in 2013. In 2015, they took on two roles, Economist & Data Scientist for Veitch Lister Consulting and Co-Founder & Director for Irvine Casey Nicol. In 2016, they became Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer for Indicatrix, a leading provider of cloud-based mapping and visualisation services. In 2019, they worked as a Freelance Software Engineer for State Machine. In 2020, they took on two roles, Chief Technology Officer for CancerAid and Technical Lead for Cohort Go. Most recently, they are working as Fractional CTO for Phase Zero.
Laurie Nicol holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from The University of Queensland in the field of Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering, as well as a Bachelor of Economics from The University of Queensland in the field of Econometrics and Quantitative Economics.
