Caroline Casals has a long and varied work experience. Caroline began their career as a student at the University of Vermont in 2008. In 2010, they took a sales position at the Kirby Company, where they were responsible for in-home demonstrations and the sale of a machine. In 2011, they completed an internship in Museum Interpretation at the Boston Museum of Science. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, where they were an Education Platforms Specialist, administering educational platforms, and a Cohen Center Fellow in Interactive Learning. Finally, from 2016 to 2018, they worked at Portland Webworks as a Software Developer and Project Coordinator, and then at Phase2 as a Software Architect, Senior Developer, and Developer.

Caroline Casals obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Studio Art from the University of Vermont between 2008 and 2012. Prior to that, they attended Newton North High School from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: an Acquia Certified Site Builder - D8 from Acquia in March 2017, and a ScrumMaster certification from the Scrum Alliance in May 2017.
