Jonathan Hedstrom has worked in the software engineering and development field since 1999, starting with a research assistant role at Caltech's Space Radiation Laboratory. In 2001, they moved on to a research assistant role at IBM's Almaden Research Center, followed by a Data Systems Administrator role at the Downtown Emergency Service Center in 2003. In 2007, they took on the role of Director of Engineering and Lead Developer at OpenSourcery, and in 2014, they became a Senior Software Architect at Phase2. During their time at OpenSourcery, Hedstrom contributed to 3 major versions of Drupal core and released dozens of contributed modules to the community. At Phase2, they have managed and mentored developers and teams, developed best practices around testing, local development with Docker, CI/CD with GitLab and Kubernetes, and open source contribution as part of daily development workflow.
Jonathan Hedstrom received a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Pitzer College in 2000. In 2018, they obtained an Acquia Certified Back End Specialist - D8 certification from Acquia.
