Mike Potter

Principal Engineer, CMS at Phase2

Mike Potter has a long and varied work history. From 1987 to 1996, they worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory in various roles, including Group Leader, Webmaster, System Administrator, and Postdoctoral Fellow in Astrophysics. In 2008, they became the Owner and Developer of Approachable Web Design. From 2011 to present, they have been employed at Phase2 as a Principal Engineer and Senior Software Architect. In this role, they are responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the company's content management solutions, as well as developing internal tooling, best practices, and knowledge sharing. Mike is also the product architect and lead developer for the Open Atrium Distribution, and is responsible for ensuring technical excellence of projects within deadlines and budget. Finally, they are a maintainer of several prominent Drupal modules, including “Features” and “Config Actions.” From 1996 to 2008, Mike Potter was the CEO of Zugg Software, Inc.

Mike Potter completed a B.S. in Information & Computer Science from UC Irvine in 1983, followed by a Ph.D. in Physics from the same institution in 1987.
