Cat Mora

Director of Research Operations at Phasecraft

Cat Mora has a well-rounded work experience in various research and academic roles. Cat currently holds the position of Director of Research Operations at Phasecraft since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at King's College London as the Director of Research Strategy Delivery from October 2017 to May 2021. Cat also served as the Deputy Director of Research Coordination for BEAMS at UCL from March 2017 to October 2017, and as a Research Facilitator for the BEAMS School from September 2011 to March 2017.

Earlier in their career, Cat worked as a Programme Manager at EPSRC from October 2008 to September 2011. Cat also gained postdoctoral research experience as a Fellow at IQC/UWaterloo from October 2007 to October 2008. Additionally, they worked as a PhD student at the University of Innsbruck from May 2004 to September 2007.

Before entering their research and academic career, Cat had a brief role as a Science Education Presenter for INFN (National Institute for Theoretical Physics) in November 2003.

Cat Mora obtained their high school diploma from Liceo Scientifico in 1999. Cat then pursued their undergraduate education at Università degli Studi di Trieste from 1999 to 2002, earning a Bachelor's degree in Physics (Laurea di Primo Livello). Following this, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics (Laurea Specialistica) from 2002 to 2004. Their academic journey concluded with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, which they completed between 2004 and 2007.
