Rui Neves

Rui Neves has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rui started their career as a Developer at OTR - Macrosistemas, Lda. in 1993 before becoming the Development Director from 2000 to 2012. In 2008, they worked as a Research Assistant at GECAD R&D - ISEP. Rui founded TalksLab in 2010 and served as the Co-Founder until 2013. Rui then joined PHC Software as a Functional Analyst from 2013 to 2014 and later became the Development Coordinator from 2014 to 2023. Currently, Rui is the Head of Agility, Innovation & Analytics at PHC Software since February 2023. Additionally, they have also worked as an Information Technology Lecturer at ISCIA since 2017. Overall, Rui Neves has extensive experience in development, leadership, research, and education.

Rui Neves has a diverse education history. In 2011, they graduated from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto with a degree in Computer Science Engineering. After that, they pursued several post-graduate programs. In 2013, they completed a post-graduate program in Project Management at Universidade Lusófona do Porto. In 2014, they undertook two post-graduate programs at ISCIA - Instituto Superior de Ciências da Informação e da Administração: one in Emergency and Relief Managers, and another in Civil Protection. In 2017, Rui Neves attended NOVA IMS Information Management School, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geographic Information Systems and Science in 2018. Alongside their formal education, Rui Neves has also obtained multiple certifications related to project management and software systems, such as being a Certified Scrum Product Owner and ScrumMaster.
