Travis Carter

Travis Carter has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Travis is currently employed at The Public Health Company as the Director of Platform Engineering since January 2023, where they focus on developing a global biosecurity platform. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at the same company starting in October 2021.

Before joining The Public Health Company, Travis had a role as a Senior Software Engineer II at Globality, Inc. from October 2020 to October 2021. During this time, they were responsible for setting up CI/CD processes and developing Kubernetes best practices.

From 2017 to 2020, Travis worked at Banjo as a Senior Software Engineer, where they led the core systems team in architecture, design, and development. Travis also ensured system stability and scalability. Prior to this role, they served as a Software Engineer at Banjo from 2014 to 2017.

In 2011, Travis held the position of Lead Web Developer at Excelsior Media, overseeing the development of new websites with a focus on front-end UI development. Before that, they worked briefly as a Web Content Manager at HARRAH'S ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED.

Travis also has experience as a Web Master at mytoolstore.com in 2010, where they updated the website and worked on improving SEO properties. Travis had a role as a Project Designer at Cardno WRG from 2006 to 2009, focusing on designing various projects. Additionally, they worked as a Design Draftsman at Psomas from 2002 to 2005, responsible for creating plan sets and construction plans. Lastly, Travis served as an IT Manager at DragonStone Software from 2000 to 2001.
