Chris Solomon

Chris Solomon has been in the tech industry for over 20 years. Chris has held various positions ranging from product manager to development manager to cloud sales executive. Chris is currently the VP of Sales at phData.

Chris started their career at InstallShield Software Corporation in 2000 as the Manager of Business Development. In this role, Chris was responsible for developing and executing business plans to increase market share and revenue for InstallShield’s line of software products.

In 2001, Chris left InstallShield to join OpenTV, Inc. as a Consulting Manager. In this role, Chris was responsible for managing a team of consultants who implemented OpenTV’s software products at customer sites.

In 2002, Chris left OpenTV to join Interface Software, Inc. as a Product Manager. In this role, Chris was responsible for managing the development and release of Interface’s flagship product, Interaction Connect.

In 2003, Chris left Interface Software to join AirDat, LLC as the Development Manager. At AirDat, Chris was responsible for leading the development team that created a SQL data warehouse architecture with real-time ETL and data quality assurance for the company’s atmospheric and airline operations information.

In 2013, Chris left AirDat to join Panasonic Avionics Corporation as Technical Staff. In this role, Chris continued the development of server applications for the collection, storage, and distribution of atmospheric and airline operations information to clients.

In November of 2013, Chris left Panasonic Avionics Corporation to join Cloudera as a Cloud Sales Executive. In this role, Chris was responsible for selling Cloudera’s Apache Hadoop-based software solutions to enterprises across North America.

Chris left Cloudera in December of 2018 to join phData as the VP of Sales. At phData, Chris is responsible for leading the sales team and driving revenue growth through the sale of phData’s big data consulting services and software solutions.

Chris Solomon attended Purdue University, where they received a BS in computer and electrical engineering.

Their manager is Mike Cleveland, President and Chief Operating Officer. They work with Natalie Depenning - Sr. Director, Global Project Management Office, Lisa Verde - Director, Talent Acquisition, and Sarah Schoolcraft - Director, People Operations.
