Jim S. is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in financial management and organizational leadership. Since November 2015, Jim has held various positions at PHEAA, including President and CEO, Interim President & Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer. Prior to PHEAA, Jim served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller & Chief Accounting Officer at Susquehanna Bancshares, Inc., overseeing a team of over 40 professionals in accounting, reporting, and compliance. Jim also held the position of AVP of Finance at PSECU, where significant improvements were made to the financial statement close process. Earlier in the career, Jim gained valuable experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers, leading audits for financial services firms and not-for-profits. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Elizabethtown College.
