Jim Tsang began their work experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Berkeley Drosophila Genome Project in 1996. Jim then worked as a Scientific Applications Specialist at DoubleTwist Inc., where they played a key role in designing and developing protein analysis software. In 1999, Jim joined Nextcard Inc. as a Senior Software Developer, where they were responsible for designing and developing the Rapid Score Card Framework. In 2001, they became a Software Architect at Vodafone, where they led the development of a Mobile Portal Platform for the Japanese market. From 2003 to 2005, Jim worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Hi Corporation in Tokyo, Japan. Jim then joined Raytheon as a Senior Software Engineer II from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, Jim started working at DIRECTV as a Principal Engineer, and later became a Senior Manager, Software Engineering, where they managed teams and developed software systems. Jim then joined Beckman Coulter Diagnostics as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering from 2016 to 2020. Currently, Jim serves as the Director of Business Software Solutions at Phenomenex, managing a global team to develop and maintain multiple corporate websites and web applications.
Jim Tsang pursued their education at the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. During the same period, they also pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Genetics at the same institution.
In 2018, Jim Tsang enrolled in the Harvard Business School Online, completing the CORe Credential of Readiness, a program focused on Business.
In addition to their academic qualifications, Jim Tsang holds a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance. However, specific details regarding the month and year of obtaining this certification are not available.
