Jiayi Sun

Jiayi Sun is a Product Development Scientist at Captozyme since April 2019, specializing in the preparation of the CMC section for IND applications and managing timelines for the IND process and clinical material manufacturing. Concurrently, Jiayi serves as a Scientist at Pheronym, focusing on scaling-up EPN culture for pheromone production. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral associate role at the University of Florida, where research centered on Comparative Genomics and Synthetic Biology, and significant contributions as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Colorado State University, which involved mentoring undergraduate research and conducting impactful studies in Metabolic Engineering. Jiayi's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Colorado State University and two degrees from Dalian University of Technology, a Master's in Biological Engineering and a Bachelor's in Biochemical Engineering.
