Ron Toth

Senior Health & Safety Consultant at Phi Environmental Consulting

Mr. Toth has over 15 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) consulting and two internships with Ohio EPA. His consulting experience includes contracting for four years as the Lead Safety Engineer at Severstal North America, a fully integrated steel mill on one of the largest industrial sites in the United States. His experience includes OSHA recordkeeping, accident investigation, lockout-tagout, hot work, PPE hazard assessments, confined space, respiratory protection, fall protection, construction management, contractor management, ergonomics, emergency response, hazard risk assessment, and job safety hazard assessment (JSHA), development of core HSE training programming, and ISO 14001/ISO 45001 management system implementation and maintenance. Mr. Toth has also served as project manager for the design, implementation, and maintenance of an integrated multisite ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management System for GKN Aerospace.

Mr. Toth’s previous experience includes time with the Ohio EPA and with the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration in Asheville, NC. With the Ohio EPA, Mr. Toth coordinated compliance and inspection efforts over a 7-county territory. Also, he assisted in the compilation of lists of potentially responsible parties with the State of Ohio, District Attorney’s Office in the designation of federal superfund sites. As a Certified Data Coordinator with NOAA, Mr. Toth was responsible for the quality assurance of specifications and preparation of legally-certified meteorological and environmental satellite data for use in research and litigation.
